I think it's when the "pilgrim Fathers" were helped out by the local indjuns, cause they didn't have a harvest in their first year in America.

Now its just a time for family and friends, & lots of good food & drink.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

I've once been to a thanksgiving meal in America and I will never forget the copious amounts of food (and drink) that was laid out. A great time was had by all .
