Re: Your Rider Resume
I got my motorcycle endorsement when I was 18. I'm now 40 something.
My FZ6 has and continues to be my only ride with 550 + straight days of riding and still climbing.
It's my 4th bike, but technically my first streetbike. I've come from dirt.
Most miles ridden in one day: 793 miles
Have participated in group rides.
I hate to say this, but I have never been down but I always know that the possiblity to go down can be anyday.
I've never taken the MSF course, but have read a couple of books and have kept up with this forum by reading other posts on what and not to do. Just my everyday riding has pretty much helped me to determine what works best to stay safe, such as lane and line choice, and to always wear your gear.
Although I've only logged about 19,000 miles, these are hard earned miles riding on the streets of Las Vegas. My first mod was a louder horn! Traffic is always very heavy with lots of intersections, stop lights, drunks, taxis and limos, tourist, and your everyday driver who always seem to be in a hurry, and the freaking Wind! So when I rode to LA last winter, with the exception of those damn winds, the LA traffic did not bother me at all, which I consider riding in any populated areas of California to be more of the challenging areas to ride. Kudos to you California members. I have ridden every single day since I took my bike off the showroom floor 18 months ago. Rain or shine, my bike is my only ride so it helps me maintain my skill level.
