I don't blame you, I don't like being called ma'am..(I am quite a bit older than you) but I have noticed more and more people saying "miss" I also love the way the southerners teach their children to not call adults by their first name, they say Miss Debbie for example. Teachers and the like should be called Mrs. or Mr.
