2007 FZ Broken Footpeg Mount - Yamaha FZ6 Forums - International FZ6 Motorcycle Community Forum

I am looking at a 2007 FZ6 that has a broken left footpeg mount. The tabs that the footpeg bracket bolt on to, broke off when the bike fell over.

Can this type of frame be TIG welded or does anyone have any other suggestions on how I might fix this problem without replacing the entire frame?

Other than the above problem, the bike is in excellent condition with low KM's and it can be picked up for a good price.

go to some of the local welding shops and see if anyone is able to weld aluminum should be possible.

ask how much first...some place charge a lot to bond alu.

Good opportunity to replace OEM footpegs, rearsets, with bete, soild mounted aftermarket rearsets, your gear change will also be much more positive, they weigh less, look better, etc.
