A little Herstory
That's History to you guys.
In 1915 Della Crewe rode her new Harley-Davidson V-twin from Waco, Texas to Milwaukee and onto New York City, a trip of 5,378 miles. In 1929 Vivian Bales toured the country for 78 days and covered 5000 miles on her new 45-twin D model Harley-Davidson. Dorothy “Dot” Robinson and Linda Dugeau founded Motor Maids, the first women's motorcycling club, in 1940. Within one year they had 51 members and were sanctioned by the American Motorcycle Association. Women on Wheels, another women's club, was founded in 1982. They currenlty have over 3500 members worldwide; including yours truly. Women currently represent 10% of motorcycle riders, and that number is growing.
