How often do you check your armour?
I regularly check my bike prior to riding as it makes good safe sense.
I have had my leather jeans (with armour) and leather jacket (with armour) for about 11 months. I have never checked my armour before (I do check seems and stitching). Today when I was getting my leather jacket on I decided to use my mesh jacket instead. I took the back plate out and noticed that the bottom third was starting to split from one side to the other (I use the back plate in both jackets). I have caused a stress fracture in the back plate by keeping the trousers and jacket zipped together when I get into them. My leather jacket is fairly heavy and as it hangs down it was bending the lower third. I have only been "zipping in" for the last two months. So guys / girls check your armour. I will "zip in" onceI am wearing both items now. Nelly

Re: How often do you check your armour?
Thanks Neil! I have never checked mine ever but will now. How could I overlook such an important part of pre-ride inspections?
