Paint Job

ok i want some ideas for a good paint job. i have thought about white or black, maybe a midnight blue with flake in it. I am up in the air with this so let me know your ideas. oh side note i have thought about ordering the demon front fairing because its cheap and it looks good but let me know if ya'll have other ideas for a front fairing that doesnt cost $300 or more.

Re: Paint Job

What about black with 2 white racing stripes down the middle of the tank, continuing on to the rear of the bike behind the seat....then you would have both black & white, finished with black wheels, hugger and front gaurd, would look tough!

Re: Paint Job

There's a thread with a link to loads of pictures of european FZs. Maybe you could get some inspiration from there? I'll try to find it...

Edit: Here it is.

Re: Paint Job

Scrub it down to bare metal and shoot it with clear. That'd be interesting.

ok yeah that would but with doing that you would be able to see any uneven surfaces or scratches in the metal

Re: Paint Job

Why not pretend that the black and white part of the fairing is gone, and move the LE block stripes up to get on the FZ's fairing and do something like this... I think it would also look awesome in blue.

True, but remember everything on your bike has been touched, made, transported, and assembled by people and machines. Their actions have put the marks on the different surfaces and you could kind of read the story of how your motorcycle came to be by looking at all the different parts.

Just an idea anyhow...
