06 FZ6 intermittant no start

Hi,

I have a 06 FZ6 that I purchased new last year. I stored it for winter and it fired right up in the spring. However, the battery went dead a few weeks after I started riding this spring. I charged it, and it has been starting fine until 2 weeks ago. It wouldn't start, so I bumped started my bike, rode if for an hour and it still wouldn't re-start. After riding it 50 miles, it re-started fine. So today, I figured the bike wouldn't start since I hadn't ridden it for 2 weeks. It started right up. I killed it at a stop light after I had been riding for 30 minutes. It wouldn't start. I rode it home and it has been re-starting just fine. When it doesn't start, it acts like the battery is dying. It clicks, the gauge goes dim and "ERRR" is on the display. It will bump start fine. Can this be my battery, or is there some kind of common problem with these bikes? Wouldn't my battery go dead and stay dead? Why would it start some times, and not other times? I love my FZ. I had a YZF600r before. My bike has 1900 miles on it. Can anybody give me a hand? Plus, changing the battery looks like a b--ch.

Thanks,

Elwood

It could be a bad battery.
