I'm SO happy with my 1st FZ6!
Hi everyone. Just stopping by to let my fellow FZ6 riders out there how excited I am to have bought one of these bikes. This website really helped me get into the idea of owning one. Where I live i've only ever seen four of these including mine, that's compared to hundreds of other 600cc supersports. I've had mine for about three weeks now, and I have 2600 miles so far. I'll post some pics soon. Just took a long trip touring the Colorado mountains today. It was awesome. Have fun and ride safe everyone!

Welcome to the forum!
If you're going to put those kind of miles on it, you should enter the mileage contest: Mileage Contest (2008 Mileage Contest!) Enjoy your ride!

Re: I'm SO happy with my 1st FZ6!
I bought mine in May and have put 4000+ miles on it. I can't imagine NOT having this great bike. I'm really glad that I was able to get it. It's a RED '06 that had 2349 miles on it when I picked it for $4900 out the door. It was traded in the day before, I don't think that it would have spent any time on the market. I feel that I got lucky. This bike really suits me with few issues. I am considering a lowering kit, though, and a PC III. Also going naked sometime. I like what Wavex has done with his. Good Luck with your new ride, GRUMPY

Congrats and Welcome!
Do you do any work for a living? Seems you don't have a lot of time for it with THAT many miles! Good for you though! Wish I could do that!

Re: I'm SO happy with my 1st FZ6!
I have purchased and FZ6 about 3 weeks ago. I was looking for a lowering kit as I'm not so tall in stature. I was wondering were you able to find a lowering kit for the FZ6 b/c I do not believe Yamaha has one available.

Re: I'm SO happy with my 1st FZ6!
Yeah, I keep pretty busy. I commute and do trips whenever I can. I've been wanting to ride for a long time. I started riding this past April and as of now I have 8700 miles under my belt. There's lots of great mountains close by, so it's easy to take 120 mile loops regularly.
