Possible "hot" cylinder?
I was doing a routine check over and noticed this( see attached) a "rainbow" effect on one of the cylinders outlet more than the others... I suspect the tb's need to be synced? I will venture a guess that this particular cylinder is a little "leaner" than the others??
The bike seems to run fine at idle and above, any suggestions? Thank you Last edited by oldfast007; 07-31-2008 at 11:41 AM.. |

Re: Possible "hot" cylinder?
That's pretty much normal, the extra blueing you see there is caused by the crossover pipe and the extra turbulence is causes

+1 Mine is also blueish by the crossover pipe. It goes away when you polish the headers.

Re: Possible "hot" cylinder?
yup, it's normal. You can buff it out with Never Dull or other compound. Just another thing to keep you warm on those cold dark nights up there in nahampshire.
