Problem with Light mod!

I went to perform the light mod on my 08 this morning and ran into a snag. When I opened the wiring harness, near the switch, the green wire with orange dots is no where to be found! There is a dark green 14gauge and a light green 16 gauge wire. I have seen pics of the harness on previous posts showing dots on all of the wires. There isn't any dots on these. I'm wondering if it's something new? Any ideas??

Its one of those two. I can't remeber when I did it to my 08 but it is one of those. Take a light tester and see which one has power to it with the bike running.

Re: Problem with Light mod!

You can also look at the wires going into the headlamps.

One will be a ground and one will be the hot wire. You can just match the coloring/striping on the wire there with the one in the wiring harness.

Re: Problem with Light mod!

Thanks! FZ6 in NH helped me out. FYI it's the bright green one! Just finished mod, works like a charm. Now, if my FE would hurry up and get here!!
