Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

I know everyone here swears by the two brothers but I was looking on youtube and came across an AMAZING sounding exhast. Only problem is, I have never heard anyone say anything about it at all. I know I love the sound, but how does it run...does it really sound this good in person? Worth $1000?

Or if my embedding doesn't work.... here is the link

That is a Termignoni...very nice kit. You will find lots of ducati's with these hanging off the back of them. Very much in the same quality bracket as Two Brothers, & Akropovic. They sound awesome!

Re: Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

I didn't realize they had an exhaust for the FZ6. One of my friends is a Ducati lover (character flaw?) and so I've seen a few on his bikes. They seems to have high-quality construction and finish and they do sound good on a his but those are big v-twins which sounds special anyway. I doubt they would give anything up to a the other exhausts in the same price range and would be pretty unique at the same time.

I thought they sounded a bit bland in the clip, and a bit plain looking too... but that's just my taste. Still Termignoni is a nice badge to have on your exhaust.

This is the other one I like. I prefer the sound of the Termignoni, but prefer the looks of the Laser.

I think the Laser Xtreme pipes look awesome. They look like something off the Batmoblie! definitely their own style, compared to every other aftermarket pipe available for the fz6.

Re: Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

On my Ducati demo day rides, I rode a Hypermoto S with Termignoni exhaust, and I liked it enough to come home and google it to see if they made one for the FZ6. They dont list it on the web site, so I think somone modified another system to fit the FZ. Maybe it just didnt show on the web site, but I bet someone used the R6 kit.

Re: Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

I found this listing on a Canadian site which I assume is what FZ6Steph saw since pricing is inline with what was referenced.

Termignoni FZ6 Exhaust

Incidentally, I seem to recall my Laser's being cheaper (more like $625. for just the "slip-on" ie no mid-pipe included)

Re: Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

I'm always curious about how different the same exhaust on the same bike can sound on a video clip. I never quite thought my Laser's sound like the clips I heard before hand so out of curiosity I made a quick clip - cold bike, in my driveway, nothing special and not too long b/c it was time for the baby to nap and I was attracting additional attention from the neighbo(u)rhood kids. To me mine seems closer to what it sounds like in real life when cold but still not what you'd normally hear. I'll have to try another one sometime when I just get home and things are at temperature.

Re: Thinking maybe...possibly...a new exhast

Wowza!! I must say, it does sound VERY different from the youtube video that I heard. Yours sounds GREAT where the one on youtube sounded like a chainsaw. This video kinda swings me toward the Laser, I love the throaty rumble. The Termignoni sounded similar to my ear, but the looks puts the Laser over the top for me.
Thanks for doing the video clip, I appreciate it!
