SW-MOTECH CrashBar/EngineGuard question

I just purchased a set even though I've read it's really hard to change your oil filter with these on the bike. Has anyone else heard this? and is there any kind of modification I can do to make oil changes less complicated? any information would help. I'll let you know how instalation went when I get them.

Re: SW-MOTECH CrashBar/EngineGuard question

Perfect timing. I just did my first oil change that I've done after installing them this weekend. Wasn't a problem at all. I'm using the stock size filters, you may run into problems if you're using the longer ones but I don't know for sure. I used a filter wrench that fit onto the end of the filter that you can hook a 3/8 ratchet to it to loosen the filter. Not a lot of extra room, but no problems.

corekneelius, I got mine at Twisted Throttle. I'm not sure if there are any other US distributors.
