Fathers day Next Sunday...might want to suggest this!

Hey everyone,
It's Fathers day next Sunday, and have been asked what i want! Well i am now getting this, as a combined Fathers Day / Birthday present.

It's a Pro lift ATV / Motorcycle stand.

pro lift bike stand.jpg

From Repco stores,

$169.00 (save $58.00)

Pro-Lift ATV/Motorcycle Lift

Each. Capacity: 680kg. Lifting range: 115mm - 418mm. Safety belt, rubber padded lifting platform prevents scratching. 25% off. (T-2151). Fairing or low exhausts may require removal before using lift.

Repco Offer Details

Autobarn also have a similar stand, different brand, not quite as sturdy looking, and $10 dearer.

Anyway, i am also getting a little garage stool on wheels with tool tray ($40), with it's own hydraulic lift, so i can clean & work on the lower part of my bike in comfort once it's strapped to this stand.

So, for those of you without centre stands too, this might be a good option...cheaper than putting a centre stand on the bike, and it gets it up higher for cleaning purposes. Plus the FZ6 looks better without the centre stand.

Save $10 and get this! http://www.fz6-forum.com/forum/garag...rage-tool.html (Great Garage Tool!)

I've looked at those and bought the hoist instead.

So, are the Aussie holidays 6 months out of U.S. time lines?

I cant buy the hoist, i dont have a garage to hang it from! As for Aussie Hoilidays...we just do our own thing! Mothers Day in May, Fathers Day, always the first sunday in September.

Jules, i thought the same thing, but my mate Matt with the TRX has one, and puts both of his bikes on it - TRX & Harley Sportster, both bikes sit on the exhaust, but it does not seem to be a problem...i put my bike up on one these stands last weekend, no problems.

Father's Day, whats Father's Day???? I've have been home for one in since my son was born in Sept of 2000.

I do like the lift. Do you need to teather the bike down, or does it cradle it well?

It comes with a strap to secure it to the lift, once the bike is suspended upon the stand. Would love a stand with wheel slots, etc, but unfortuneatly, that is big big dollars.

The way it is tied, it cradles very well. Most parts can be one-handed to loosen or tighten with the torque wrench leaving the other hand to steady it. But, I do have a tether for the big jobs to keep it from swinging.

And Wolfman, time to ask for that garage for Father's Day!
