Napolean bar end mirrors. Review and Install
Ok these mirrors are well reviewed on webbike world, and other sites.
Fairly high quality but not CRG. They attach inside 18mm hollow bars. There is the problem. Our bars have threaded inserts that the bar end screws into. We also have overlap onto the bar end from the throttle tube and grip, and the clutch side grip. To install use a carbie burr and a die grinder to grind out the threaded insert untill it breaks loose and can be removed. That leaves you with a 18mm bar, BUT the expansion portion that attaches the barend shortens and pulls itselft tight against the grip and the throttle so you cant use the throttle. You have to trim off the grip, and trim the throttle tube 1mm past the solid metal end of the bar. Then insert the barend mirror, tighten with the allen wrench provided and adjust. Here comes problem #2 The clutch lever even when rotated far forward hits the bar end mirror arm base. It does not hit untill after the clutch is long released so it is no big deal. The brake side would probley hit too but mine was bent down in my crash so it doesnt touch. Over all review. low vibration at speed. Good field of view. looks great. very adjustable. For our bike. Not reccomended. To much modification to install, and still not perfect. CRG lane splitter bar end mirros would of been a better choice. The Napoleans can be installed and I will keep them but unless your willing to modify the throttle tube, grips, and bar its not the best idea. .: Napoleon Bar End Mirrors | Review | Canyon Chasers Motorcycle Sport Touring :. They do look damn good on the bike though.
