a little preamble...
my daughters' piano teacher is 5 ft nthin' and weighs 95 lbs in a wet t-shirt (did that come out right?). I'm trying to find her a small beginner bike and think i've got one in a 2007 honda cbr 125. before you jump down my esophagus about it: 1. she likes the size 2. i know it's tiny and feeble. a contractor at work saw me looking at a pic of it and commented on how the 125's parts are classified under "honda scooters" 3. it could be picked up for a screaming deal and resold at a later date with no losses anywho...my question is: what should i be physically looking for in the mechanics, performance, and body? there are some warning flags that have come up but i feel positive about the bike. Not too positive tho, i could walk away in a heartbeat if something seems wrong. a buddy passed on about holding the bike upright and measuring the height of each rear axle nut from the ground to detect frame twisting. his learning (after buying a used bike) - you can still ride a bike with a 1/2 " difference! |

Re: How to buy a USED motorcycle
The question is, do you have a picture of said teacher in said wet t-shirt?
