Absolutely nothing has been changed, except for one thing, Deep Blue a new color option over the previous Cobalt Blue. That's it, every other single detail is the same. They kept the Raven color which was a smart thing to do.

Other than the one new color option, there is a little price increase, but that's it!

I guess that they put all of their efforts into the new FZ6R, which is nice that two FZ6's are now available for the Yamaha enthusiast to choose from.

It looks like the 09 FZ6 gets the Comfort Seat as original equipment.

They have new decals on the '09 too.

The instrument panel is changed...i read on Yamahas site the Tach is back to digital display.

That new seat looks like the one on the '08 FZ6 Fazer S2, I believe the european version of the FZ6. I guess that it finally made it to the USA. How does the new seat compare to the old?

Thanks, I missed those on the fairing, they are a little different.

Only for the Deep Blue, the Raven has the same decals. But they did remove one of the swing arm stickers and the hideous frame sticker, can't tell about the tank sticker from their pics.

The instrument panel is the same still, word for word the description is the same as for the '08. Which is just plain wrong.

Yes, not the comfort seat, but the same as Europe had last year. I've been wondering how this compares for a while now?

I'm really mad about the lack of changes. I wasn't expecting any redesigns, but I did want to see some new colors. (changing the name from cobalt blue to deep blue doesn't count.)

From an engineering standpoint it would have been a waste of resources to research/design/produce any new colors because they would always come to the inevitable conclusion that
RAVEN IS TEH FASTEST
hence it really doesn't matter what the slower blue is named. Maybe Chevy sued?

I'm happy nothing changed. It means it was smart to buy my 2008 before the price hike and I'm not missing out on any new features.
