Fort Lauderdale?

Anyone here this week? I am for another week (until the 21st) but not on a bike. Anyone local or coming here? Just curious... maybe a stop and a beer?

It was awesome! We were able to see the power of two nearby hurricanes (Hannah and Ike) without being in them. We beached it, pool-side bar'd it, explored the Fort Lauderdale area, the Galleria, walked miles, used the water taxi, the bus and finally rented a car for week two to explore further. We went to the Keys after visiting Monkey Jungle. We went to Big Cypress and took the Billie's Swamp tour in both the airboat and swamp buggy. Spent a couple days at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino...

Now for bikes? Are you the only FZ6 there? Cause everyone else is either an R6, R1 or an HD! Seems like 4 of every 5 bikes was an R1 though! We had a lot of fun just sitting at Lulu's Bait Shack and watching the people and traffic along with all the idiots who ignored the lifeguard and the cones they put out for rip tides and end up getting rescued. Almost one a day! Amazing!

Our next Florida trip will likely be in the Cocoa Beach area and focused on Cape Canaveral.

It was a great vacation but I don't think I could live there.

We might trailer the bikes down and use them for all activities while there. Then stop in TN to stay with a friend for the second week and hit the Dragon and Cherohala.

Thanks Rob!

If you made your way out to Sawgrass Mills, big shopping mall on the way towards Billies Swamp Safari, then you went within a couple of miles of where I live.

It is a nice place but I definately could not live in town, I am here as it is where my work is, no doubt you saw some of the big yachts in the marinas just off the beach (Bahia Mar) alhough most of them are not in town at the moment, I work with them.

Glad you had a good trip.
