Aussies catching the Poms!

Well, here is something i read in Australian Motor Cycle News this week (Vol 59,No.17) that Australia is catching up with Great Britain, in terms of bikes sold Anually!

British Sales were down 20.2% in 2009, 95,080 bikes.

Aussie Sales were also down, but by only 16.3%, in 2009, 85,220 bikes

These figures exclude scooter and ATV sales.

So it tells us that a country with only 21.5 million people, only sells 10000 bikes less a year, than a country with 61 million people!

All of this comes from AMCN....

I was quite amazed, regardless of weather, you would think that with 3 times as many people, Great Britain would sell LOTS more bikes than Australia!

Take in all the ATV's that our multitude of farmers buy and count all those scooter riders out there and we would smash them.......

The poms actually sell about 20000 scooters, etc a year, whereas Australia only sells about 10000 of the same in a year....
