I agree, GP style is the way to go for the high speed riding, it is all but impossible at times to get your toe under the shifter without getting it ripped off!
They are not that much further back...sorta forgot to take comparison photo's at the time, but are definitely a little higher...biggest plus is the more refined gear shift, and lack of flex through the pegs, when shifting weight, etc.

Lol! i did the same thing when i purchased the bike, bent down and grabbed the assembly, and was completely spun out by the amount of flex, was less than impressed, and even more so once i started riding the bike! Rearsets have been on the shopping list since day one as a result...

As for the Moto G style gear shift.....swapped from normal to GP Style yesterday, after beating my foot to death, and destroying a boot over the weekend when i did about 800km's in 3 days....just hope i dont get into an emergency situation, and forget that i have changed things about....

The other thing that i did yesterday was get some new Sidi Vertigo race boots....having trashed my Falco's, and as i have found out that with the soild mounted rearsets with no rubber footrest...that in anything other than full boots, these suckers, start to hurt your feet after about 30minutes of hard riding...

The Sidi Vertigo boots are awesome by the way...you get what you pay for...top class boots!

Re: New Stuff on it's way - Part 2.

How much was the sprock? Thinking of doing the same but have an extremely limited budget at the moment. Any ideas on how much the speedo healers are,? Easy install? The sprocket will apparently be a sinch to my old man who said he does them blind folded, but he also insisted that I change the rear and chain at the same time. My thought s were he has OCD.

The sprocket was $35 and the best price I could find on the healer was $130 shipped.

Re: New Stuff on it's way - Part 2.

I did not fir my Speedohealer, the shop did...so i cant help you on the fitment details.

Re the 15t front sprocket, you notice it off the line a bit, but more so further up the rev range, brings 8000 rpm in top down to about 115km'h, so perfect for overtaking...

Still want a 14t just to see how radical it is!

Re: New Stuff on it's way - Part 2.

I,ll be doing mine myself .I love having a go at that kind of stuff.

Sprocket is easy, done that heaps of times and cut chains to length ,no great mystery there. The instructions on the s/healer site seem pretty straight forward.

According to the calculator you set the healer to -11.1 % and your good to go.

Yeah i reckon i could of done the Speedohealer, but it was just easier to get them to fit it when it was at the shop....and they did a very neat job too.

Yes the calculator on the website makes it very easy to set up once installed, or adjust.
