Rattle can paint job.
First off I use to be a painter and bodyman. I use to restore old cars. I have never been a fan of rattle can, I thought it was junk and never looked good untill now. I dont have access to all the paint supplys I use to, And gun paint is damn exspensive anymore. So thanks to sportrider I tried rattle can and I am beside myself right now. I used some krylon semi flat black, krylon clear, And some hand buffing. Tell me what you guys think.

Probably about 10 coats of black. Then sand with 2000 wet paper Then 5 coats of clear, Then sand with wet 2000 again and buff. Yes I did use primer.

Looks really good.
by rattle can, I'm guessing you mean the spray paint in the cans with the ball bearing in it? Cause, you know, they rattle... did you put all ten coats on before wet sanding? Was the surface plastic or metal? Would you recommend on larger surfaces? |
