I wonder if there is a safety feature (like the IR beam on a garage door) that prevents the door from accidentally closing on say a mother trying to get her child from the back seat? The remote control door looks on our keychains get pushed accidentally all the time. Maybe there is, I only watched 3 quarters of the video.

+1 would make a good safety feature. Good video thanks.

A neat trick no doubt. I do however want to know how the door does in an actual crash test. I would also like to know how the structure has been affected in terms of strength relative to the missing "B" pillar? Has this been certified?

Wait, you ride a motorcycle and are worried about a crash test??? LOL OK, OK, I know what you mean. I was wondering what the interior would end up looking like after exiting and entering during a heavy rain storm. In some parts of Texas the dust is so bad that when it rains, it rains mud!

Looks well cool.

What happens if the electrical supply is cut or reduced; low battery, crash etc?

Can you manually move the door?

How much extra mass is added?

the rain would definately be a concern but from the looks of it it opens and tucks inside just as fast as opening the door normally. Also i am sure there is a pressure reverse on it like sunroofs so that it won't hurt a human too much.
