Radiator cleaning
Hi Guys n ladies,
The other day when I washed my bike I noticed that the radiator has some small debris between some of the fins. I removed the plastic cover and took it to a local petrol station to blow out the crap with the air line. It was partially effective, Do any of you have any suggestions or ways of cleaning between the fins. Neil Ps Jonathan Thats as clean as my bike gets

Other than a stronger air compressor, not really. You did blow from the back to the front, right?

I have to be honest Fred that I blew side on. It did not occur to me (stupid). I will give that a go.

I've been thinking of the same thing the last couple of days. I got a little mud on the radiator and I wasn't sure how I was going to clean it. I was thinking of using an old tooth brush? Anybody else have a better suggestion?

If you use high pressure air or water be real careful as the pressure can damage the fins. If you have a repeated problem with debris you may want to think about securing a fine mesh screen to the back of the snap cover. I use simple green and low pressure water rear to front to clean mine when it is wet washed..

No, the bike runs as it should because the mesh isn't so small it becomes restrictive. Folks in bug areas do this with their cage radiators too. You can use the same mesh that is used for a window screen.
