left over 2007 good price in NE?
A dealer not far from me has a couple of left over new 2007 FZ-6's. What's a good price for a left over? I am located in the Northeast. He wants to talk to me about trading my 2006 Ninja, but I am afraid that he'll low ball me.
Anything besides color changed for 2008??? Thanks for the info, Dani |

Thanks for the info. I'll see what the difference is in price. How do you like your bike? How does it compare to your old YZF600R? I hate buying a bike I never rode. I'll see if the weather will cooperate and they would let me have a ride.

There is another guy on here that went from a YZF to an FZ and they may have a bit more experience to it, i have to store mine 20 miles away from my house sofi have it put away and have nor ridden it much. Only 113 miles on it, but so dar i love it, it has a smooth power band. plenty of power, good wind protection which surprised me due to it being mostly naked, and the 07 display looks great, all while maintaining a high level of comfort. i think you would like it compared to your Ninja, i have ridden the 500 and found it a bit soft and heavy, the FZ feels more rigid than i remember the ex 500 but that gives you a lot more responsiveness and stability. |

Like some other member mentioned, there is really no difference between an '07 & '08 other than color. The major change was between the '06's and 0'7's which I won't get into. There have been some members who have gotten brand new '07's in the low 6K figure, OTD. I would say anything under 7K OTD is a good deal. There a couple of threads regarding how much we all paid for our bikes for you to view and use it as a guide. Although there isn't anyone from Nebraska, you'll get an idea on what we all paid.

Sorry, I just saw the "NE" abbreviation, which is the abbreviation for the state of Nebraska.

I loved my THundercat (YZF600r). I almost had 19k miles on her when she was taken away.
Since your asking about that bike, I assume that you already or currently own one. So I will answer accordingly. Just note that I've only put about 159 miles on an 07 Fz and have not had a chance to open her up. THe FZ is lighter and easier to center when resting on the kick stand. The FZ does a much better job on providing clean air behind the windscreen. THe powerband seems to be very smooth the entire way through. The Gear box is redesigned so it should not have the second gear problem like many cat owners had. Oh, and the headlight and front end of the FZ look a lot better then the cat. The headlight you can actually see with on the FZ. lets see, the FZ is Fuel Injected - the cat is not. Meaning you have to run the cat every 2 weeks to keep the gas moving and the carbs clean. Ok, Now onto the cat. THe cat has a fairing that is designed to greatly protect you from all of the elements. You could pretty much wear shorts on a cold day and not freeze from the wind alone. But the FZ6 keeps your hands warmer. Not to mention the heat rising from the cats engine block keeps your legs warm at stoplights. The cat has a huge power band that kicked in at 6 or 7 and rocketed you all the way up to 13 or 14k. I haven't noticed a huge power kick on the Fz. Maybe some of you out of the breakin period can offer some insight here? The cat has fully tuneable front and back suspension that handles extremely well in the twisties. The breaks on the cat have always received rave reviews from the magazines. The weight of the cat keeps you in your lane better on the highway during windy situations. I think the side fairings on the cat look a lot better then the naked sides of the Fz. (still getting used to this!) THe seating is a bit more aggresive then the FZ thus does not leave you with a soar tail bone after a hours ride. Along with that it makes you feel more sporty and feels more agressive on the street. Anyhoot, hope that helps. I guess you guys can see that I am a bit cat sick. But I am learning to love my new bike. Oh, you should easily be able to pay less then 6600 OTD for your 07.
