My New Commute Stategy Update - Yamaha FZ6 Forums - International FZ6 Motorcycle Community Forum

Okay so to refresh...a few weeks ago I discovered that if I nail up through third as I exit one highway and enter a surface road I get into the flow of traffic and the next three lights are green, where as if I didn't I caught three the three lights and added about 10 minutes onto the commute. Wellllll....today....I'm the first vehicle up and nail it from a stop, front end is light in 1st, light again into 2nd. As I'm going up the ramp I see two SUVs....1 second later, two white SUVs, another second later two white SUVs with lights on the roof!!! At this point I'm going 95 mph, CRAP!!!!! I figure I might as well pull over. As I get closer I can see that they are talking, not paying attention at all. The whole time I am ON the brakes, back down to 55, wave and count my blessing as I watch my mirrors! The piano gods were watching me today! Time to put the corks back in the Akro and go stealth again. That was too close.

Buy a lotto ticket! Nothing like an "Oh Sh&@!" moment at almost 100mph!! I had a similar encounter over the weekend. I drove the speed limit all the way home...well almost

Careful they can get you if your not watching (sneaky little bastards) lol. i was on my way to take my ACT ,and as i went into a turn on a back road at about 65 all i saw was the blue lights. luckily all i got was the finger pointing and he shut off the lights. i about crapped my pants.

those are my favorite! you are totally screwed and then they just drive on by....... and when they aren't looking anymore

Damn if they weren't there again today! Today I was looking for them and I was only going 80. I put the DB Killers back in the Akro last night to go stealth. The cop gave me a LONG look as I went by a 45. Tomorrow I'll be a good boy as I think they have me figured out.

There is only one practical way to go, otherwise the commute get longer. I hate commutes. It's 14 miles of 35, stop, 45, stop, 20 stop, 4 light cycles, 103, stop. etc, etc, etc. I wish I could just ride the whole way.
