Re: inside
Having a friend who works at a muffler shop and was willing to do this for free... I went for it
![]() Here is my report: Removal of the muffler is very simple, it took about 10 minutes, no manual needed. Cutting out the sheet metal took another 15. Someone has mentioned using a dremel tool to cut it with. It must have been one heck of a dremel and one tough wheel! This stuff is tough and thick! We've chewed through 5 heavy duty 4" wide discs on pneumatic cut-off tool. I don't know, maybe we've had a bad batch of discs but this stuff was definitely not easy to cut through. There is also one weld in the middle that will need to be cut away. Cutting out the inside parts was piece of cake! The sound: Maybe it's just me... but i absolutely hear no difference, I know there must be a difference, but If i knew this was going to be the outcome I would have gutted everything out. It is as quiet as it was, however now it makes this very annoying buzzing noise at certain RPM's. Anywhoo.. this is my experience with this mod. In my opinion it wasn't worth the time. ( i hope i don't upset anyone by this :flash
