Re: 2009 Fz6 ?

You never know, the FZ6 has not had that any "major" updates since it's release back in 04, maybe Yamaha will use 09 to release an FZ6 with newer version of a detuned r6 motor from say this year's r6, and maybe even new bodywork, other than swingarm shape, front fender, etc.

Not that i see anything wrong with the current fz6.

I parked next to a new Triumph Street triple (very nice bike)today, and it sorta made my FZ6 look a little dated!

But hey if the FZ6 is still selling like hotcakes in the bigger markets, then Yamaha may just decide not to fix what aint broke!

Re: 2009 Fz6 ?

I assume it would hurt sales of the current model if they said anything too soon.

Very true, but if & when they do, it might make for some great clear out prices on unsold floor stock in dealerships about the place.

Re: 2009 Fz6 ?

In a word, yes. How do I know? I don't. Yamaha just did the remake only two years ago and with Global MC sales WAAAAAY down, I don't see them making any big changes; maybe color and stickers. The FZ/Fazer is a great selling bike, especially in Europe and I'm sure they make a very tidy profit on them.

Re: 2009 Fz6 ?

the New FZ6 with the updated fairings (not the naked one) just had those updated as well in 07, so i would say that they would keep up with that for at least 1 more year before a total redesign in 2010.
