10,000 miles, a new tattoo and some amazing foliage

Welll todays ride come to a close just before dark and after completing a milestone and seing some amazing color.

We met up with some family friends today to go up to Boone, Nc to do some leaf looking since it was supposed to be peak color up there.

Going back a bit, I recieved my Fz6 on October 20, 2007 and as I am coming up on my year mark I rolled 10,000 miles today. Pretty stoaked about that.

The color up there was amazing! As it was the first time ever taking pictures of foliage I had no idea what I was doing. The pictures do not do the color justice. I will be doing some research on how to set up the camera for foliage shots.

Here ya go.

Oh really?!?!

Yea. Thats a drop!

In a town called, Todd. Little general store that was pretty neat.

Story telling? That could be interesting.

Yea. Like I said my camera settings sucked and I couldnt get the true color of the leaves.

Oh yea and about that tattoo...

I didnt say it was on me now did I..? The online Deals Gap store is nice and they ship quickly and respond to emails as well. Would highly recomend them if you are interested in anything there. If you get up there and you dont have enough room to bring anything back. Dont panic, the online store offers everything from the store front.

So there ya go. Enjoy!

Yea, that is true. I enjoy the over night trips, however it always comes down to time and money...

Re: 10,000 miles, a new tattoo and some amazing foliage

funny that you went today. Be glad you didnt go up Friday. I just got back from our mountain property yesterday night. The ride up was rainy and so foggy i had to follow taillights all the way there. Saturday's ride back was amazing. Especially on 221 leaving out of Montezuma/Newland. When my grandparents bought up 2000 acres for our cabins in the 70s, they hit the gold mine. I love that whole area!

We don't have the awsome colors that you do in NC, but we do have some nice scenery. We went on about a 140 mile ride today and this was one of the views.
