Re: '07 price for new bike reasonable?
I hope some of you guys that are posting prices at or around $5800 are lieing. Its not cool to post a bunch of lies like that because you are making me feel bad. I must have gotten shafted with it broken off. I thought I got a deal and I didn't lol. I payed $7200 for a electric blue (07) OTD. Now I must say I was given my choice of a $495 Shoei, $180 Riding Coat, and pair of leather riding gloves I forget how much they were. Around $700 subtraction being that is what I would have payed for them myself. Either way wish you best of luck hope you get a real good deal.

I'd said you got a good deal if you bought it back in May given the gear that was thrown in. Of course that stuff has a high mark up but it's not like you would have gotten money off that stuff. This is on the cusp of winter and thi dealer is holding out on an '07. I actually called a dealer in Rock Hill today and they have 2 2008's in stock. They said will do just under 6700 out the door. Said could proabably do a little better if I was there in person. I called my local dealer back and told the sales person about the '08 models and I can get for the same, and very likely less, than the price of their '07. I was pretty much blown off. I don't know if they are holding out because of the color or they are just flat out stupid at this point?? Anyway, I think 6500 to 6700 is good for an '08 otd and I can feel ok about paying it. However, they are both black. I like the black but am scared the black color will make me even more invisible. Although, I do wear a red jacket. Looks like I may be in for a little trip on Saturday.. I appreciate the responses. |

Re: '07 price for new bike reasonable?
If you are a little patient you can get good deals on a used one. My 2005 had 800 miles on it. I got it for $4800 OTD from a stealership. My current '07 I bought from an individual for $5000 with only 1,100 miles on it.
