MRA Flip Screen

IMHO the stock screen on the FZ6 Fazer is absolutely awful for noise and wind blast. I bought a Puig double-bubble screen, which was better in terms of noise and pushed the wind-blast upwards a lot, but it was putting lots of pressure on my neck & head on the motorway and made me tired. I had a flip screen on my GPZ500S and it was amazing, so I wanted something similar for the FZ6. I managed to find an MRA flip-screen that looked good. It wasn't as tall as I hoped, but it was much better to ride with. The wind-blast was moved lower again, but it was much much less and much quieter. This is almost ideal for me. If I could find a screen with the same flip that was 6 inches taller, it would be perfect!

Here is a view showing the height of the screen:-

You can see the shape of the flip here:-

Here you can see the height even more:-

Here you can see the salt and crap that builds up during the British winter:-

And this is the rider's view:-

Lol. Gonna Ebay in it a couple of days after I've found the packaging and given it a wash. I'll post on the for sale section in here too. Couple of thousand miles on it, but perfect condition. Interested?

Re: MRA Flip Screen

Confused - You say the wind blast is lower, but less and quieter. How does that work. I would have thought the flip would direct it higher up, especially compared to your cut down screen.

I've come from a naked bike to the FZ6 with a Puig DB. I found that very noisy around the helmet. Moved back to standard screen. Better, but still noisy. I would obviously like something quieter, but still want the chest protection from the cold winter wind.

The flip directs MOST of the wind above your head, but it sticks up below the top of the mirrors and so most of the wind that hits you is light. There is a picture that kinda shows it attached, it's not scientific, but gives an idea. It's about the same height as the stock, but much lighter.

Maybe I misread or got confused about your original post, but the above pics (great likeness BTW) is pretty much how I thought it would be.

Might give one a go myself.

Cheers

Flip design is the best for overall wind-blast and sound reduction. I wish I'd kept the larger one off my last bike and modified it to fit this as it's even bigger!
