Thumbs up Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

Here is a nice addition to the bike:

The pazzos have really been helpful in smoothing the clutch and front brake. The Grip Puppies on the other hand make the ride more comfortable by eliminating some of the vibrations transfered to the hand and arms from the handlebars.

Where did you get the grips and how much did they run? You are like Jonac, but you are U.S. version, the mods just keep on coming.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

The grip puppies are a great and cheap (at around $8.50) mod to do. They are available here: Grip Puppies ™- Small. For bikes with 1.25" to 1.45" diameter grips.: Motorcycle Accessories from California Sport Touring, Inc.

You want the small version. They had them delivered by day 3, very good service.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

Do you find that the grips make the bars kind of thick. In other words, can you tell the diffence as far as thickness after putting on the grips. I'm afraid that it will make my grip a bit thicker, it might effect my handling of the bike. I don't have the largest hands you know, I can't even grip the basketball with one hand.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

All it took was about one or two rides for me to get used to them. I like how they can dampen the vibrations. I also can not grab a basket ball with one hand, but then again I suck at basketball. If they are not good then simply take them off. Grip Puppies are under $10 after all ;-)

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

How difficult is the install on the Pazzo levers? Do they cause you to engage the brake and clutch with a couple of fingers or do you use your entire hand. They just look so small.
I ride with Grip Puppies and like the feel. I have larger hands and they fit me perfect.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

looks good, those grip puppies look like you wrapped your grips in little pillows, I am interested in how well the hold up to wear and tear since they are so porous and soft

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

The brake he has is a shortie and his clutch is long.. you can buy them any size you want. The sets come how you want them.. long Brake, long clutch..long brake short clutch....short brake, long clutch... short brake, short clutch.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

Are the grip puppies tight to the touch.

The stock grips are shaped and I assume the grip puppies are just straight foam tubes when you get them. So in theory they should not fit the contours of the grip which makes me think they may sag a bit.

Re: Pazzos and Grip Puppies Installed

Nope they dont sag at all. Fit tight and don't slip. It seems like after a bit of use they become more and more comfortable. I've had them on for about a month and no serious wear and tear (bikes stored in garage). We'll see how long they hold up.
