Need help with my horn...

My horn stopped working all the sudden. Rather than the "beep" I get a "tonik" sound. It's still having some type of electrical connection but sounds like someone is knocking it with their finger.

The only thing that is different is I did the headlight mod but that shouldn't affect the horn at all should it? I'm almost positive that it worked after the headlight mod cause I accidentally hit it with my thumb.

Any ideas?

Re: Need help with my horn...

Its wet? Its bad? It need to be replaced with FIAAM freeway blaster (direct bolt on LOUD) or the Stebil Nautaliss some work. Its a freaking train oh my God get out of the way we are about to be hit by a train.

It costs more.

Re: Need help with my horn...

If you dont upgrade i would deffanitly check it to see if there is water in it. If there is water put a small drain hole in the bottom so you dont have the problem again

Re: Need help with my horn...

Hmm today horn worked just fine, must have been the heat. It's hot up here over 100 yesterday.

Re: Need help with my horn...

You can't go wrong with the stebel.

I've mounted mine in the small hollow space created by the right side fairing next to the tank. It keep it dry, and is high enough from the ground that the sound punches drivers taking my right away.

Re: Need help with my horn...

my guess is that there was some water in there that evaporated with the heat, might want to drill a small drain hole in the bottom just to be safe. no horn when you need it could be a very bad thing. Or you could just upgrade to the train whistle that everyone else is talking about.
