Schumacher SEM-1562A 1.5 Amp Slow Charge Battery Companion
I picked up one of these at Wal Mart in Washington state the other day, they are only 30 bucks and a very good battery tender for the winter
I see amazon has a great sale on all Schumacher chargers right now. They have this one on for $18.02 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping Great deal. And you can leave this one hooked up all winter as it has float-mode monitoring. The one I got from Wal-Mart has the connectors shown in this picture ![]() which is nice as you can just leave the one piece connected to your battery all the time. No Need to lift tank to charge. I just ran it out the little hole in the side of the frame. The one at Amazon has a picture that shows one with a little different connector but looks like it still works the same.

Re: Schumacher SEM-1562A 1.5 Amp Slow Charge Battery Companion
I got one of these for $20 at my local WalMarx a couple years ago - works fine. I've read other places that 1.5a is too much (the tenders are .75 i believe) but I figured if it was too much it would have killed my bmw's puny 5 year old unsealed battery so I plan to use it on the fz's battery this year.

Re: Schumacher SEM-1562A 1.5 Amp Slow Charge Battery Companion
The first one pictured has the preferred connector, at least in my opinion.
I bought the Slime Motorcycle Tire inflator and the Schumacher charger and both had this connector, so the battery wiring harness connector will work with both. Also the Slime Inflator and attachments fits under the seat with the tools and patch kit, but without the owners manual. |
