Redlines Upon Start Up

I left my bike out in the rain, now when I've turned on my bike (barely over900 miles) it takes a few seconds to turn over, then the engine revs all the way up. I first occured a month ago, taking three days to return to normal. This time it's been four days already. Can someone help?

I've never heard of this problem. I don't see how it could rev up on its own unless it leaning out. the butterflies are cable controlled so you got me at a loss on this one.

If under warrenty truck it to the dealer.
You can not have a bike that throttles itself. It could cause you to die.
If not under warrenty, I would call Yamaha and then take it to the dealer.
Yamaha cant want the liability of this floating around.

+1 this thing can kill you. DON' T ride it again unless you get it fixed. Go to the dealer as soon as possible!!!

VERY VERY strange problem, and VERY dangerous as well. I would be interested to know what caused this.
