Re: Oil filters that will fit

Purolator recently changed the packaging and color of the Pure One filters. Now they're Caterpillar yellow with grippy texture.

This is a new PL14612.

Sorry I don't have the box. I stuck it under the seat which crushed the crap out of it, and I peeled the sticker off because it was also scraped off a little.

go about halfway down. Motorcycle Oil Filters & Air Filters

upon disection filter was contaminated with dirt when new, and has a small amount of filter media.

Maybe they have changed now. I dont know.

36 square inch filter media vs 110 square inch filter media.

Re: Oil filters that will fit

OK well I guess I am bit confused as to which are not recommended due to your line spacing in the original post.

Same here. Perhaps an edit is in order? Just to make it a little more clear on what is and isn't recommended. Good work by the way.

Excellent post! As I travel around the country I have found that all the recommended filter are not alway carried or available by the automotive stores so a list of recommended filters to choose from is great!

Re: Oil filters that will fit

I put this list in my Blackberry notes a long time ago. I can now reference it at the store and find a filter fast!
