Tire Irons

I'm in the process of gathering the needed tools to do my own tire change. I see there are many lengths for tire irons out there and would like to know which length(s) are probably best for our tires.

Motion Pro has a set with an 8", 11" and 16" iron. I suppose I could go with three of one length or two one length with one longer if that makes sense. My questions is which length... 8", 11" or 16" irons or the set?

Any thoughts?

Re: Tire Irons

I would go with either the 11" or 18", so you can get more leverage...Also make sure you pick up one plastic lip protectors.

Re: Tire Irons

Thanks phxtravis.

I think I will go with the 11" set of two and one 16". Now I'm considering the Tachyon wheel balancer to complete the tools portion of my tire change project.

Re: Tire Irons

Yep! I have heard of them. However, I'm a tad sceptable [uncomfortable] of things I cannot physically see. Thats not to say they don't work, I have seen many a good review on these Dyna Beads.
