oil for the fz6? air filter?
what should i use? what is the best of the best?

i am taking her in to get an oil and air filter change within the week.

Do a forum search for "oil" and another for "air filter". You'll find a heap of info already out there!

As a quick response, i stick to OEM Yamaha filters and I've purchased (yesterday) a K & N air filter from a very good store in the USA: StarCycle, USA. Discount Motorcycle Equipment Site

Mods to date: K&N filter, Oxford Heated Grips, Puig Touring Windscreen, Dual Headlights, Meta Alarm....em...soon to have Two Brothers (once money isn't an issue!!)...o and i suppose a PCIII will be required.

K&N is nice for oil...i won't claim that it is better, but the metric nut they weld on the end is enough of a reason to buy their filter.

For oil I have been using Mobile-1 Turbo Diesel Truck (5W-40)...shifts smoother than Yamalube (in my opinion).
