Re: The debate is over. Rotella T wins!

The Rotella synthetic at walmart was 22 dollars for a gallon. I thought it seemed a little high.

I think I paid about that. I wasn't really commenting on the price, just the performance. Though just doing a quick search of on-line places I found mobile 1 moto oil going for at least $7/qt. So even if I paid $24 at wally world that's still cheaper.

It may just be a matter of switching to full synthetic and rotella is just getting all of the props because it's what I reached for. Fair enough. I used mobil 1 in my vfr and liked that, too.

I'm just coming from a blend of dyno and synthetic. The resulting change in my gearbox is what's nice.

I think I need 3 years out to take a chemistry/physics degree.... Dude, I am flummoxed. I buy black stuff that says "motorbike oil" but I take my hat off to you. You know your stuff

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. See, my mule don't like people laughing. He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it . . .

Re: The debate is over. Rotella T wins!

I've run Rotella Synth for about t years now, in several bikes, and I generally run them hard, and I'm very happy with the performance of the Rotella.

As far as the clutch slippage - I really believe it to be a Wives' Tale.. I've red it in dozens of oil threads, but never net someone who suffered from it do to oil.

Re: The debate is over. Rotella T wins!

Not the Amsoil thing again.

I have 62,000+ miles using Rotella. I have no oil lose no smoke and no clutch slippage. My FZ6 is a daily rider and weekend warrior. Hell, I even use it in my 07 GSXR600 track bike with no, I repeat NO issues. If it works, why change??
