Re: Throttle Body Synchronization

Great response for one day! Here's my calculation for the group buy. Morgan Carbtune with tool pouch is 60 pounds UK = $105.94 US dollars. It comes out to just about $10 savings. Considering a throttle body tune job at a service shop is around $80 to $100, this tool will pay for itself after 2 tune ups.

If anyone is still on the fence, check out these links.

Re: Throttle Body Synchronization

C'mon people...., this is a deal in the making. The service manual indicates synching every 6 months or 4000mi. The videos and Fred and Pete made it look so simple. Why run a bike out of synch? Isn't this a performance and efficiency issue that shouldn't be overlooked?

It really isn't difficult at all. The beauty part is the price of the tools and a bit of your time more than breaks even the first time you use it. Each use after that is money in the bank! I think the Yamaha stealerships charge about $100+ to do this.

Re: Throttle Body Synchronization

For every member that changes their own oil, that means they could do this too. That should mean we should have a lot more interest in this. Do it, do it, do it.
