Re: Bike turns off while shifting down or pulling clutch lever
Hey, guys, and hello neighbour Joshoua
![]() ![]() ![]() Unfortunateli it seems that I have the same problem... ![]() ![]() like Joshoua and NOMALOS. I didn`t wash my bike on powewash , but i occasionally drive in heavy rain... or wash it with garden shower and soft brush...BUT! What`s my problem: SOMETIMES, not everytime while riding highway or city cycle and when on idle , from engine comes soft but rattling sound, rpm decreases to about 600-800 and engine dies... After that starts with no problem but has no idling. Dies immediately after I let the grip. When I reach my point I let is rest for a while and there`s no problem at all after that... ![]() ![]() I ride it at different conditions, with diff. kind of fuel and Gas Stats, on diff kind of roads... This prob occures for the third time for about a 1000km between situations...![]() I`m so surprised! This seems to be my first Tech. problem since I have it for 2 years. If it is TPS, does someone know how much it costs and can it be repaired??? Thank you! |

Re: Bike turns off while shifting down or pulling clutch lever
Just to eliminate one more possibility. You may want to check the throttle cable linkage at the throttle bodies. Make sure the tabs and idle set screw are aligned and look good. As you look down at the gas tank, the first frame bar below it on the left side, you should see behind that frame piece - the linkage.
If you can reach across and roll on the throttle, it will help you see it. Hope this helps. |
