Thumbs up A new tire pressure gauge

After using the Accu-Gage EZ-02 for a few years, I have found that 2 of the 3 units I own have fallen far out of calibration. Although they are warranted forever (and I sent one back for repair), I looked around for something new. I found this:

Pressure, Inc. DT105 Pocket Digital Gauge
It reads in .5 PSI increments, has a 1 minute memory so you can read it after removal, and the best feature: $12.33

Consider this if you are looking for a new gauge, I am very satisfied with it.

Re: A new tire pressure gauge

This is the one i use, the specs sound very similar, as well as the price. also has a tread depth thingy built in that i never use (i can just look and see that a tire is worn, i don;t feel the need to confirm it) very rugged all metal housing as well

anyway, i am pleased with this one:

John, is that at most local auto stores? No problems with getting to the valve stems with it?

Thanks!!

Well, I got it through McMaster-Carr, but they have a support page for finding a local dealer. It reaches the valve stem without any problem (including the tight fit on my R1) and doesn't bleed off air as you engage the stem.

Re: A new tire pressure gauge

This is the guage I use. I would not actually reccomend it. It is a good design with a large display, an led light built in, and a swivel head but @ $25 it is rather expensive and the batteries seem to die quickly.

Are the batteries replaceable? I have used that one that i borrowed from my buddy and it seemed to work well. but i didn;t have to pay for it nor deal with dead batteries

Re: A new tire pressure gauge

the batteries are replaceable and they are a common watch type but they don't last very long.

that's cool though, mine says that they are not replaceable but last over 10,000 measurements.

I am sure i will take it apart and try to replace them when they ever die. the backlight on the other hand on mine has a separate replaceable battery.
