GameStone's Knuckle Visor Fitting Guide

Tools required

4mm Allen Key - Trim screws
Phillips screw driver - Removing the original visors
10mm Ring spanner or socket - Mirror removal
T25 Torx screw driver or driver bit - New Knuckle Visor screws

So lets start

Remove the four large 4mm domed cap head bolts on the side fairings holding the small black dash trims, take the two trim pieces out watching that you don't scratch the tank.

Remove the six 4mm domed cap head bolts holding the large inside dash panel (two on the inside)

The original Visor trim is removed by undoing the two screws on the inside (per side), also removed the two 10mm Nuts (per side) holding the mirrors on.

Transfer the black rubber trim from the original Visor to the new Knuckle Visor.

Fit the two Knuckle Visors with the new torx screws, do not over tighten as it will crack the plastic trim.

Refit the two mirrors using the two larger spacers per side (original spacer shown on left for comparison)

Refit the three dash trim pieces.

Remember DO NOT over tighten any of the bolts.

Job done

Makes motorway riding much nicer on the hands as it blocks quite a bit of the wind.

These are quite expensive items from Yamaha (£109.99 in the UK) but they are well made and with a perfect colour match.

For a more in depth guide with larger resolution images and other guides see my website.
