Thanks Hapi, we have the smaller grunge brush version, I had just never seen the hotwheels car garage version. LOL I like me a clean, and well waxed chain.

Just wondering if using a high pressure sprayer, like at a car wash would effectively clean the chain, or would it hurt the chain? Previous post has recommended kerosene, which I have considered. Response?

I don't know for sure but, I'd be afraid the pressure washer could force water & dirt into the rollers. I use WD-40 and a rag to clean the chain & black Teflon lube in an aerosol can to lube it.

On page 6-27 of the Owner's Manual it says"CAUTION:To prevent damaging the O-rings, do not clean the drive chain with steam cleaners, high pressure washers or inappropriate solvents." So I'd say that's a no no.: Had to do it. LOL

Woooo!!!!!!

LOL I am playing. I just have been dying to use that smiley too.

Also be real careful with the pressure washer, on wheel bearings, and steering head bearings, fork and shock seals as well.

Chain saver

I'm new to this board, but you have saved at least one member from destroying his chain. The guy who said to put the key in your pocket before performing ANY chain maintenance would have saved me a trip to the hospital and part of my right thumb if I had followed his advice about 30 yrs. ago. Keep up the good work
