Owners manual doesn't say anything about it. Just gives the required tension. I'm going to ask the mechanic on Friday when my bike goes in for service what he thinks of where my chain adjustment is at. I will then make a vid which I will post showing how tight or loose it needs to be.

Let's face it, to give a distance measurement and no measurement of the required force to push the chain up and down to measure it renders the figures given almost useless. Someone may push harder or softer than me.

I have done close to 5500 miles on my bike, and I have still not needed to ajust the slack.
It was ajusted after the first 600 miles (At the service), but nothing since. Should perhaps be noted that I oil it once a week(after a wipe off with a dry cloth), and do the whole WD40 cleaning once a year.
