Bought a used 07 FZ6 and love the little guy. It has been pretty good even for light dual-sport use on fire-roads and hard packed dirt county roads. The easy going low-end make it great for slippery surfaces and stop-go commuting. Getting it above 7K, the bike changes nature as we all know.

Just replaced the rear and front springs with the hyperpro unit. Because the shocks are a higher grade, I went down to 1 on the preload adjustment for a decent compromise for touring and twisty riding.

congrats on the purchase, glad you like the little guy and that it iw working out for what you have to deal with on your rides. what color did you get?

Hey, welcome. We've got a pretty good group of us in Central Texas now. We'll all have to going riding some weekend.

Sounds like a plan. Is there a formal ride list or sub-forum for central tejas people?

I guess we would be USA Southeast or Southwest. That's the problem with being from the center of the State, I have no idea where I am!

But no sub-list.
