Checking in from Southern Cali
Hey everyone. Bought an 05 FZ6 about a month ago. Best bike I've owned yet. A dog in the lower RPMs, but very fun in the higher ranges. I bought this for a commuter bike. So far I'm happy with it, although the 40 MPG is a lot lower than I thought I would get. Also, I'm looking into getting some Nelson-Rigg Mini Sport Saddle Bags but I'm not willing to pay $80 so if someone has some, please let me know. Looking forward to the help from everyone on here.

welcome to the site, glad you like the bike so far.
How many miles are on the bike, 40 seems a little low to me too, i am getting about 45 and i am still in my break in period. |

 I get about 40-42, attibutable, I think, to my lower hp to weight ratio than most.  (I weigh in at 225.)

Yup, I average 40-43 in the city. I don't drive highways.
When I go on my trips 1-2 times a month I get over 45 for sure ... I'm going up to MotoGP so maybe I'll post in the gas mileage section...check for that thread. |
