Learning how little respect cagers have for bikers

some people are nuts they have ZERO respect for bikers. This one semi was tail-gating me on the freeway ( i was doing 75kph in 80kph zone in right lane of 2 lane one-way freeway) so i slowed to like 50 or 60 (very gradually eyeing him in mirror) and waved him to go around. so he goes around and cuts me off like a jackass to get in front of me and hes got rocks falling out the back of his trailer theyre pinging off my helmet i was like holy **** i should follow this guy and blow his truck up or something.

and just yesterday I merged into traffic and some guy I guess was in a big hurry or something cuz he didnt like the fact that i merged in front of him and was doing like 5-7 km under the speed limit so he RIPS it in front of me cutting me off hitting his brakes while hes doing it. I pass him while hes making a left turn later and look at him in bewilderment and HE GIVES ME THE FINGER!!!!! I was like wow, that deserves something special. But I kept it to myself and kept on puttering along.

Intentionally doing something like that should be a criminal offense. Cuz when ur on a bike your pretty much a pedestrian. That should be like "attempted assault with a deadly weapon" and be similar to a gun charge or something the way I see it.

Too bad the government wont go for it. Rat bastards. They probably drive hummers.

Just ride your ride and expect all cages to drive like that and dont let it bother you and you will get home just fine.

Thats the best advise. I ride like I am invisible and assume that no one has seen me.

Sounds like you are leaving yourself vulnerable! Sometimes you have to adjust your line or speed, even if you have to switch lanes or ride faster. Personally, I wouldn't be travelling on the right lane of the freeway unless I'm exiting because it's probably the most dangerous lane to travel in. Riding is just not about skill, but also making the correct decisions on where to ride on the roadways based on your knowledge of what can and can't happen.

Too much traffic entering and exiting. How many cagers do you see cutting across several lanes of traffic to make a last second exit? Too many around here. The farther left you are the safer as long as you are not impeding traffic in any way.

FYI: I work with this guy who use to drive those semi trucks, they drive fast intentionaly because they need momentum to keep moving forward especially it they are carrying a load i.e. dirt, rocks, etc. It's difficult for these large vehicles to keep up with traffic if they need to slow down for every chuck and larry. For us it's best to just avoid riding in front of them, this will be "our" way of helping them out as well as ourselves. Why stand in front of a firing squad if can simply sit this one out?? I know some of those guys are probably jerks to begin with, but why look for trouble.... you're talking about a SEMI TRUCK (lawrie) vs. a small bike. Don't be crazy in motioning them to slow down, just ride faster if safe or move to another lane.

Why in the world would you ever wave on a semi to go around you??? You should've sped up to get away from him. I like to ride faster than the flow of traffic so I'm not around all of the idiots.

Ya most people are @$$holes so I just expect everyone to drive like a prick. Just remember your faster, quicker, and way more maneuverable then a car. If they ride us @$$ on the street than hey, Just do a fkn burnout n throw some rocks up at there fkn windshield. When they complain they can tell the cops that they were following too closely.
