selling FZ6 possibly to get KLR650

the roads where im from are so amazingly straight its not even funny.

I had IMMENSELY more fun dipping around the countryside at a nice easy casual pace then I did in the city or anyplace else, but find I am not willing to head down some of the moe interesting roads because they are dirt roads. On a KLR Id be more than happy to. I am thinking more and more of doing trips every weekend up to the mountains and all that on the FZ6. Better roads up there as well. Ive always loved nature, and I'm really kind of getting excited about the whole adventure aspect of it all.

Lone Rider on his trusty motor-steed kind of thing.

FZ6 is fun, but without any curves its not blow your load excitement the way Im getting excited about trail riding near where I live or heading out to the mountains and just dipping along on a trail next to a stream and stopping for a sandwich all alone miles away from civilization.....

any of you guys do a lot of trail riding or adventure touring?

Re: selling FZ6 possibly to get KLR650

alas i cant afford that

but after spending another 250 km on the fz6 today i think ive reconsidered making the change. i love fizzy, i dont think i could do that to her. It would break her transmission if I left her for another.

Agreed and the DRZ is an awesome bike that you can't kill. The KLR has a good rep too. Running fire roads and forest trails is awesome and you can truly get away from it all. I don't think I could ever give up dirt. Fact is I would give up the street first.

Re: selling FZ6 possibly to get KLR650

might pick up a smaller sized 250cc or so dual next year good idea methinks.

but thing about the klr is i was thinking of making a trip to the mountains every once in a while and thats about 500 km away....

i think the 250 would not like that lol.

Re: selling FZ6 possibly to get KLR650

lol, I got a KLR250, DRZ400S and The FZ6. The duals are awesome, but Im selling both and getting two FZ6, got one already for me, now I gotta find one more for my dad. We do mostly city driving and hopping curbs can only be done so many times before it gets old. Highway driving the duals don't do too well as they are low revving engines and feel pushed on highway speeds. Just a though from someone who owns both...

Man, gomd, what do you do for a living? Assuming that's you in your avatar pic you look so young to have the funds to own THREE bikes. Lucky guy!!!
