Hey, Cool man, welcome. There are several of us in the Austin area, and a bunch in Texas. I'm near 360 and 183, we'll need to go riding.

So what did you think of turn 1 at TWS, is that pucker or what??? Haven't done it on the FZ yet but in the Carrera at about 140mph, CRAP!!!

I plan to do some track days in July, AUG and Sept once my schedule opens up.

I've been to TWS many times since 1987 when I got my 1st Place win on a yamaha RD350 I've race there on a TZ250A,600F2,RD500,RD400,750GXR,400Bandit,XS650,FZ 750,KLR650 supermoto and a YSR50 put in more than 1,000+ laps so I know the track very well. I went in to turn 1 on the FZ6 at 140+ it freaks me out a lot more now that I'm 52!!! I live in south austin near wm cannon @south 1st . I dont do track days, races or long rides in the hot summer months any more. It's much more fun for me in the spring, fall and winter.

Ahh a man of my own blood. I raced RD400s, RZ350s with MRA in Colorado, AFM in CA, and whatever the group is in Phoenix. I'd like to go with you some time and learn the track from an expert!

I gotta agree with you on the summer riding, it is very rough.

I had 3 RZ350's took one to OHR I love those bike's. But the 85 RD500 V-4 2 stroke European model was my favorite. The FZ6 is a lot like the RZ-RD'S only better. Maybe in the fall we can do a trackday . There is a new track 1.8 miles in San Marcos I've done a lap on the FZ it's better than TWS and only 15 min. from home. It's called Harrisroad check it out!!!

I've heard about that new track, gotta love having one in your backyard. I would love to do a track day with you. I haven't roadraced since '88, bit rusty.
