Doorag Interview

Another photograhic person...Doorag

What do you do for a living?
For the past 12 years or so I have been working with young startup companies setting up their Client Services functions in both the US and the UK.

How long have you owned your FZ6?
I bought mine used in March 2008, so that's about 6 months now.

What other modes of transport do you have?
Mrs. Doorag owns a Vauxhall Vectra and I have a Specialized mountain bike.

If you could have any bike what would it be?
On-Road it would have to be the Ducati Hypermotard - its manic but I like that.

Off-Road it would have to be a TM 144 enduro.

What are your hobbies apart from the bike?
I'm a semi-professional photographer and I play the guitar (badly).

What is the best place you have visited on your travels and why?
Wow, that's a hard question. I love Paris and Amsterdam both.

Paris because I like the French attitude - it's very much like the US even though no one wants to admit it.

Amsterdam because it is so laid back. I don't smoke (anything) anymore so the drugs aren't a big deal but I have spent LOTS of time there and it's just a great place to be.

Describe yourself in three words?
Loyal, Honorable, Direct

If you could redesign any household (including garage) appliance what would it be and why?
The vacuum cleaner - it should run itself.

Which invention in history would you most like to have come up with?
The computer. After the wheel and sliced bread, it will have the largest impact on civilization.

If you ruled the world, what is the first thing you would outlaw?
Hypocrites

If you were forced to entertain us all at the Forum Christmas party - what would your talent be?
I would attempt to play the one song I know on the guitar.

Snow or beach?
Definitely the snow and the mountains. I have lived in Boulder, CO and Anchorage, AK and I love it.

Windows or Mac?
Windows at work and Mac at home. I'm planning on getting an iPhone as soon as my current contract runs out.

F1 or MotoGP?
Mrs. Doorag and I both watch both.

Which track or album rocks your boat?
Track has to be "Travelling Riverside Blues" by Led Zeppelin - the best cover they ever did that no one has ever heard. If you are a LZ fan at all, look it up.

Album (CD?) has to be "The Wall" by Pink Floyd.

What is your favourite film?
"Serenity" - Great film! It really reminds me of "Empire Strikes Back" in a funny kind of way.

Meat or Veg?
Meat - although I hear vegetarians taste good too.

What is your favourite beverage?
Soft Drink - Diet Coke
Beer - Innis & Gunn
Canadian Whisky - Crown Royal Special Reserve
Scotch Whisky - Macallan Fine Oak 18 Year Old
US Whiskey - Jack Daniel's
Wine - Valpolicella for table wine
Champagne - Perrier-Jouët
Mixed Drink - Crown & 7
Coffee - wet cafe latte
Tea - PG Tips (Say NO to Lipton!) with milk and sugar
Milk - semi-skimmed (2%)
Sports Drink - I don't do Gatorade as it's too thick and sweet so I mostly go with the hydro-active water type drinks these days.

And finally, your number one rule in life?
When the enemy is in range - so are you.

Yeah, it's on that as well as the original LZ box set that came out years ago. That's where I heard it the first time.

I actually have both. Love LZ! My tastes are very eclectic and there's not a lot of music I won't listen to. Rap is the only one totally out of my collection.

So, how long have you been across the pond? How long in the U.S.? Which are you originally from? Which suits you best? Thanks!!
